Healthe Home Care is working diligently to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by continuing to use rigorous infection control practices and by screening all patients and their families using the screening tool from Public Health Ontario prior to home visits, clinic visits or patient transfers.
Healthe Home Care is screening all employees returning to work after leave or vacation and communicating with them regularly about health guidance and any updates from the Ministry of Health.
Any staff or patients with symptoms or history of recent travel are being asked to self-isolate to protect themselves and those around them.
We have created a response plan and are using Public Health Ontario guidance to support our preparedness plans. Our COVID-19 preparedness plan includes operations, HR and communications planning.

Our employees provide vital health care services to patients. Presently our health care services remain uninterrupted during COVID-19.
The safety of our patients and our staff is our number one priority. Healthe Home Care is following the guidance of Public Health Ontario as it relates to the management of COVID-19. These procedures include having our employees practice rigorous hand hygiene, wearing Personal Protective Equipment which may include mask, gloves, gown and safety glasses and screening patients before each visit. Healthe Home Careis providing its staff with PPE and hand sanitizer regularly.
Healthe Home Care staff are using the Ministry of Health screening tool which includes questions about travel, symptoms of COVID-19, and contact with a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19. Healthe Home Care staff screen themselves each day and ask each patient prior to visit all screener questions.

Our employees have screener questions for the patients and their household. The employee will notify their supervisor should a member of the patient's household be in self quarantine or have confirmed or potential (test results pending) case of COVID-19.
We ask that while Healthe Home Care staff are in your home providing care that members of your household practice social distancing. If possible we ask all members of your household to stay in a different room of the house while Healthe Home Care staff are present.
